On the first, out of 2, day of our "Hokule'a Journey" we went to see and study the Marine Life. We learned things from Vibrant Corals to Vigilante sharks. Our main goal is to find out about the fish they might have passed on this year's World wide Voyage. We noted down some of the edible and non-edible fish that they could have seen. The fish that we learned about were either found in Australia, Indonesia, Madagascar, Mozambique and Africa. Let's not forget the Hawaiian Islands. These Ports are where they are going to stop at and spread their knowledge about Sustainability and Malama Honua. We videoed and took pictures of all the fish we studies and noted some facts abut them. Be sure to check them out on our Page "Marine Life"
We have just set up our tent and it's pretty small. Although the Hokule'as quarters are smaller it is comfortable disregarding the rocks underneath. Our sleeping bags to soften the floor to sleep. If it starts to rain we have a tarp that will cover our tent. We took pictures of the Selty Salida 2 tent if you want to check it out
Me and Irene have eaten dinner and it was AMAZING! I had delicious poi mixed with honey and some fish. Irene was a chicken and lied about having allergies to try and get out of it... it did not work. At All. I made Irene try a bite of the fish and she did not like it even though she literally doused it in ranch dressing so all she tasted was... you guessed it! RANCH DRESSING!
We've just eaten dinner and are in the tent right now with the dogs. Our tent was cozy and small with a few compartments to put some of our stuff. Me and Irene had our sleeping bags and pillows setup vertically in the tent. We had a lamp outside our tent so we could see dimly inside. Both of us will go to sleep in an hour cuddling with the dogs and wake up on day two.
I just woke up in the tent with the dogs and I wanted to sleep again. But I couldn't because I had to make breakfast. Irene told me to wake her up if I woke up before her and Vice versa. I shook her, nudged her and poked her. Yeah, none of them worked. It took thirty minutes and a lot of poking on the cheek to get her up. She trudges with me to the house and we both at some peaches and granola.
We had a delicious Lunch that we cooked which was fried rice and some tea. Me, Irene and the Dogs exercised and energized together. But before we had our snack which was delicious tapioca pudding that was very creamy and chewy.
